In response to the plea of the Real Estate Organizations (NREA and REBAP) in the Philippines, the Department of Trade and Industry gave a go signal for the Realty Sector to resume selling & buying properties ones the Enhanced Community Quarantine is softened to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) which is expected to take effect after May 15, 2020.
This is according to the DTI Memorandum Circular released on May 5, 2020, detailing the list of business establishments or activities allowed to operate in areas under GCQ, as confirmed and adopted by the President under Executive Order Number 112 S. 2020. The guidelines state that Real Estate Activities, including leasing, buying, selling, subdividing, appraising and development of cemetery and columbarium are among the allowed activities once the GCQ is implemented.
